Kochi: JNNURM Bus timings
Kochi city has received funding for 170 new buses under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JnNURM) scheme. These buses will be operated by the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC). Out of the 170 buses, 50 would be AC Low Floor Volvo buses, while the rest would be Non-AC Low Floor Ashok Leyland buses.
AC bus services commenced on December 28, 2009, while Non-AC bus services commenced on May 14, 2010. As of today, a total of 41 Volvo buses and 45 Ashok Leyland buses are operational in the city.

I Think you have done a great work … but i have tried this timings from Fort Kochi with no sucess… (i got bus ,but not in excat route). If there is any change , please notify. Thanks…………

Lot of these buses have been cancelled .. so much for all the hype. Hope the buses are not lying in the depot rusting away…
I suspect the private operators hand .. probably bribed the KSRTC Kochi station master ..

KSRTC claims they are in the process of constanly modifying services to suit passengers!! However true that be, they have amended schedules of JNK 8 to 13 according to the post in KSRTC’s official website. Only hope the modified schedules are turning out to be useful to atleast some passengers!

firs up on thanks to ksrtc to runn the volo to airoort. before we are paying700rs for taxi to airport. but still 18.00hrs after ter is no bus to fort cochin. like fortcochin like toorist area night flight arrivel people still fource to use taxi. if start more trips after 18.00 hrs that will helps lots of people like me .

Since the timings may change, buses may be cancelled or re-secheduled, it would be in everyone’s interest to call up KSRTC and confirm,a day prior to travel

KSRTC has modified most of the Volvo Schedules and hence it is time you updated the time table given in the blog. Request you to kindly do the needful. For instance, http://www.keralartc.com itself confirms they have amended the schedules of JNK 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13.

Great job Binai. Your site is miles ahead of the official site. Don’t think you have such a comprehensive compilation of timings of Low floor/semi low floor Jnnurm buses operated by KSRTC anywhere. Request you to incorporate fares to various places too in your site at the earliest.

The Thirukochi and JNNURAN bus services are giving woderful service to the Kochiites. I would request the following improvements.
1. Late night services in the main routes with increased bus fare
2. More services from poothotta or chottanikara via Maradu -Kundannoor-Thevara – Padma to Kaloor and circulars like kaloor-kakkanad-tripunithura-maradu-thevara – padma/menaka – kaloor are needed
3. Requires a re-look at the spacing of schedule – for example: you will find three buses from thoppumpady via Maradu to Tripunithura passing through Maradu at 5.45 pm. Push them by 10 or 15 mts either side so that the Island employees can make use of it. There may many such cases, which you can identify yourself so that the service can be made effective and profitable.
